In most circumstances, CARS uses auction houses to sell the donated vehicles or it is sold for parts. For unique or specialty items that have been donated, CARS may use other means to sell the vehicle to help ensure the maximum amount of money is received for each donation.
WWT then receives a cash donation from CARS worth 70 percent of the automobile’s net sale price after acquisition, handling, processing and sometimes repair expenses.
