Steve Malloch
Steven Malloch joined the Washington Water Trust Board in 2024. Steve brings technical, legal and political tools to bear on the problems of improving the environmental performance of large water systems, and on the looming problems of adapting to the water-related impacts of climate change. Steve is Principal with Western Water Futures, LLC, where his clients include NGOs, foundations, and water managers. Current projects include advising a dam removal funding program and serving as a gubernatorial appointment on a flood risk reduction and aquatic species restoration effort in the Chehalis River watershed. Milestones of his career include: engaging on the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan for 15 years; serving as DC counsel for Trout Unlimited; working as an environmental law and litigation associate at an international law firm; and being a hydrogeologist doing field work in the West, Alaska and internationally.
